The Top Time Traveler Elite Eight

Well, brackets certainly are strange. After another exciting round of voting, we are ready to eliminate another half of our intrepid competitors and reveal the Elite Eight in the Top Time Traveler bracket. Here are the voting results.

48 Hiro Nakamura (Heroes) vs 64 Max Caulfield (Life is Strange)
2. Rip Hunter (DC Comics) vs 50 Okabe Rintaro (Steins;Gate)
14. Booster Gold (DC Comics) vs 30 Phillip J Fry (Futurama)
4. H George Wells (The Time Machine) vs 20. The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 3)
5. The Doctor (Doctor Who) vs 21 Ness (Earthbound)
27 Link (Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time) vs 11. Cable (Marvel Comics)
10. Marty McFly and Doc Brown (Back to the Future) vs 58 Agent J (Men In Black 3)
25 Trunks (Dragonball Z) vs 9. T-800 (The Terminator)

A couple of interesting trends have revealed themselves. Most notably, this week every comic book time traveler lost. That means Cable, Rip Hunter, Booster Gold, and even occasional comic book stars Hiro (of course there is) and The Turtles are all done. We also lost three of the "herald" time travelers in Hiro, Cable, and Trunks. The Elite Eight voting should create some very challenging decisions. Here are the match ups.

64 Max Caulfield (Life is Strange vs 9. T-800 (The Terminator)
50 Okabe Rintaro (Steins;Gate) vs 10. Marty McFly and Doc Brown (Back to the Future)
30 Phillip J Fry (Futurama) vs 27 Link (Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time)
4. H George Wells (The Time Machine) vs 5. The Doctor (Doctor Who)
