Who is the Samuelest Jackson?

Some have called Samuel L Jackson the greatest actor of our generation. Most will agree that he is the coolest baddest motherfucker to ever grace the silver screen. Sam has worked on the Marvel, Star Wars, and Pixar film making empires. He has worked with legends like Spike Lee, Martin Scorsese, and Quentin Tarantino. Most importantly, he has portrayed some of the most iconic characters of all time and that is why we are going to spend the next five weeks figuring out with one is Samuelest Jackson.

What does that mean? We are going to make a bracket comprised of Mr. Jackson's greatest roles and see which one best exemplifies his career. We have scoured the internet and made a list of 32 different SLJ characters from film, television, and even a book! They are separated into two different conferences. The first is characters who we can reasonably assume have guns. The second is characters that probably don't have a gun. Some might end up having one, but it's not their main thing. Once we separated the characters, we seeded everyone based on their project's RottenTomatoes scores. In the event of the character being in sequels, we picked their first appearance. Voting on each round will take place weekly. Here is the first round.
